M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Zoology.

Two research projects funded by DBT and Ministry of Food Processing
Industries were sanctioned to conduct research in Food Science and
Technology.

Two student research projects have been sanctioned by the Tamil Nadu State
Council for Science and Technology to the Department of Zoology during
2006-2007.

Faculties of University Departments have published many research articles
in reputed journals.

Faculties of the University Departments have also
participated in many national and international Seminars/
Conferences/ Workshops and presented research papers.

The DST has approved a research project entitled
"Silver Nano Particles - Potential Applications in Sericulture" and
sanctioned a grant of Rs. 13,47,000/- by Dr. G. Singaravelu, HOD i/c,
Dept. of Zoology.
